Rib Ticklers Win Best Overall at Morgan County Wild Game Cook-Off

This past Tuesday, the Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF) Morgan County Wild Game Cook-Off was a hit; with 16 cook teams and close to 500 members and guests in attendance. A delicious aroma filled the air as cook teams fired up their grills at Ingalls Harbor in Decatur; preparing various mouthwatering dishes like Redfish Greek Style, Duck Lettuce Wrap and Smoked Venison Meatloaf.
Rib Ticklers captured the top prize of "Best Overall," with their scrumptious Turkey Cherry Jubilee. Rib Ticklers including Murrell Frazier, Debbie Frazier, Billy Gene Clemons and Patty Boldin will be invited to the state finals held at Lanark in Millbrook on August 4, 2018 to compete for the title of AWF 2018 Wild Game Cook-Off State Champion. Other winners included:
Fish Division: First Place – Hooks & Horns consisting of Chris Alexander, Jacob Williams, Ashton Alexander and Anthony Terry cooking Pecan Glazed Catfish; Second Place – Plush Deer consisting of Jody Witt, Ryan Walker, Allen McCall, Stacy Alexander cooking Redfish Greek Style; Third Place – Bama Girl consisting of Amber Wynn cooking Stuffed Mushroom.
Fowl Division: First Place – Rib Ticklers including Murrell Frazier, Debbie Frazier, Billy Gene Clemons and Patty Boldin cooking Turkey Cherry Jubilee; Second Place – Plush Deer consisting of Jody Witt, Ryan Walker, Allen McCall and Stacy Alexander

Game Division: First Place – Up In Smoke consisting of Brandon Hitt, Loyal Parker, Jason Skinner and Chris Hill cooking Elk Fajitas w/Pineapple; Second Place – KBeeQue consisting of Michelle Merchant cooking Deer Wonton; Third Place – Hooks N Horns consisting of Chris Alexander, Jacob Williams, Ashton Alexander and Anthony Terry cooking Smoked Venison Meatloaf.
Youth Division: First Place – Hooks N Horns, Jr. cooking Pronghorn Wrap Ups; Second Place – Jr. Rib Ticklers consisting of Arianna Frazier, Coral Frazier, Aubrey Frazier and Shelby Frazier cooking Bestfriend Tacos; Third Place – KBeeQue Jr. consisting of Dawn Merchant, Kindall Merchant and Ashley McClean cooking Big Bertha.
Potluck Division: First Place – Deer Heads consisting of Leslie Frazier cooking Buffalo Turkey Mac Attack; Second Place – Hog Heaven consisting of Jody Wynn cooking Deer Old Cabbage.
Best Presentation went to Hook & Horns while Plush Deer won Best Presentation Runner-Up.
