The Alabama Wildlife Federation strives to educate our children about the wonders of Alabama’s outdoors including our rich natural history and biodiversity through our Conservation Education programs. For more information about any of our Alabama Nature Center Programs, please email anc@alabamawildlife.org

WEEKEND EVENTS:
  • NaturePlex
    23,000 square foot structural facility that serves as the Welcome and Education Center. Open 6 days/week (Monday-Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
  • ANC Weekends
    Open to the Public from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

TEACHERS:
  • Lanark Field Days
    Provides fun and exciting, customized field trip opportunities for students in grades Pre K-12 
  • Early Explorers
    Bring your youngest explorers to enjoy a nature-themed story, craft, hike, game, or animal encounter
  • Homeschool Programs
    Nature-infused programming that will compliment your homeschool curriculum
  • Nature On Wheels
    The ANC will visit your location and provide a quality educational program
  • Christmas at the ANC Field Days
    Come join Santa for a fun-filled day of outdoor Christmas activities! Opportunities are available for school groups, homeschool, and general public.
CAMPS: SPECIAL 1-DAY ACTIVITIES:
  • Birthday Parties
    A fun place to host your kids a WILD birthday party
  • Team Building
    A series of real and imaginary obstacles designed to challenge groups and individuals to work together to accomplish a task. Communication, trust, self confidence and learning to define goals are the cornerstones of this program. 
  • Critter Crawl
    The Critter Crawl will feature a 5K run along our beautiful trails
  • Christmas at Lanark on Saturday
    Enjoy hayrides, Christmas crafts, decorating cookies, a movie special and much more
