This past Thursday, the Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF) Clarke County Wild Game Cook-Off was on fire; with 12 cook teams, and 375 members and guests in attendance! An aroma of mouthwatering dishes filled the air as cook teams fired up their grills at the Thomasville Golf & Recreation Park Clubhouse; preparing various mouthwatering dishes like Mullet Spider Sliders w/ Swamp Sauce, Wild Turkey Boudin Balls w/ Cajun Aioli and Cow Horn Cheese Steak.
  
Dozier Hoggware captured the top prize of "Best Overall," with their delicious Smoked Catfish Cakes. Dozier Hoggware Dozier Hoggware Wins Best Overall at the AWF Clarke County Wild Game Cook-Off
 will be invited to the state finals held at Lanark in Millbrook on August 4, 2018 to compete for the title of AWF 2018 Wild Game Cook-Off State Champion. Other winners included: 

Fish Division: First Place –  Dozier Hoggware including Andy Black and Eddie Tucker cooking Smoked Catfish Cakes w/ General Tso Aioli; Second Place – Co-Op Cut Ups including Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Allison Ellison and Jimmy Sims cooking Crawfish ‘N’ Friends; Third Place – Choctaw Bluff including Frederick Stimpson, Ben Stimpson and Peter Gaillard cooking Mullet Spider Sliders w/ Swamp Sauce.

Fowl Division: First Place – Co-Op Cut Ups including Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Allison Ellison and Jimmy Sims cooking Bobwhite w/ Crackers; Second Place – Tucker ATV including Shannon Tucker, Todd Morris, Chad McManus and Al Cobert cooking Tallahatta Teal Poppers; Third Place – Dozier Hoggware including Andy Black and Eddie Tucker cooking Wild Turkey Boudin Balls w/ Cajun Aioli.

Game Division: First Place – CMC Gas including Tim Conerly, Matthew Pritchard, Allen Sypgrit and Kyle Childs cooking Fatty; Second Place – Tucker ATV including Shannon Tucker, Todd Morris, Chad McManus and Al Cobert cooking Cow Horn Cheese Steak; Third Place – Co-Op Cut Ups including Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Allison Ellison and Jimmy Sims cooking Venison Philly Cheese.

Best Presentation went to Co-Op Cut Ups Canfor Southern Pine won Best Presentation Runner-Up.
