Co-Op Cut Ups Wins Best Overall at AWF West Central (Selma) Wild Game Cook-Off

With 15 cook teams and over 750 members and guests in attendance, Co-Op Cut Ups consisting of Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Wendell Mims and Randy Raines captured top prize of "Best Overall," with their scrumptious Jack Rabbit Pie.
 
While Co-Op Cut Ups won Best Overall, they certainly weren’t the only team serving up good food at the event. Other winners included:
 
Fish Division: First Place – Peppertree Pit Crew consisting of Jeff Verner, Drew Bass, John Mosley and Tyler Verner cooking Blackened Catfish & Pasta; Second Place – Co-Op Cut Ups consisting of Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Wendell Mims and Randy Raines cooking Crawfish Soup w/Alabama Muscadine Wine; Third Place – Trustmark Bank consisting of Lee Calame, Robby Rose, Mary Brunson and Keith Dismukes cooking Tricky Trout Bites.
 
Fowl Division: First Place – Southeastern Land Group consisting of Johnathan Goode, Drew McLendon, Whitney Goode and Kelly McLendon cooking Rosemary & Muscadine Pheasant; Second Place – Serial Grillers consisting of Richie Spain, Jennifer Spain, Chase Kelly and Lori Kelly cooking Wild Turkey Sliders; Third Place – Flatwoods Hunting Club consisting of Susan Keith, Dr. Lee Youngblood, Nancy Travis and Manera Searcy cooking Sea & Sky Wild Turkey Breast.
 
Game Division: First Place – Co-Op Cut Ups consisting of Kirk Green, Kristy Seamon, Wendell Mims and Randy Raines cooking Jack Rabbit Pie; Second Place – Serial Grillers consisting of Richie Spain, Jennifer Spain, Chase Kelly and Lori Kelly cooking Deer-In-A-Hog Trap; Third Place – Wilco Cookers consisting of Dan Taylor and Clay Dumas cooking Wild Hog Boudin.
 
Youth Division: First Place – Southeastern Land Group - Youth consisting of John David Goode, Laura Beth Goode, Emma McLendon and Ulman Goode cooking Venison Taco Scoops.
 
Best Presentation went to Coop Cut-Ups while Wild Thangs won Best Presentation Runner-Up.
 
Wind Creek Montgomery People’s Choice Award went to Serial Grillers.
 
In addition to the great food, there was a silent auction, raffle and live entertainment.
