Leavellwood Wins Best Overall at Tuscaloosa Wild Game Cook-Off

Bass Bites, Gourmet Quail Poppers and Whitetail Wontons were just a few of the tasty dishes found at the Alabama Wildlife Federation Wild Game Cook-Off and Silent Auction last Thursday at the River Market in Tuscaloosa! With 18 cook teams and close to 350 members and guests in attendance, Leavellwood captured the top prize of "Best Overall," with their scrumptious Dove Shooters. Leavellwood including Trey Montgomery, Trey Dorman, Blake Foster and Ryan Costanzo, will be invited to the state finals held at Lanark in Millbrook in August 6, 2016 to compete for the title of AWF 2016 Wild Game Cook-Off State Champion.

Fish Division: First Place – Otter Creek including Stringer Vogtle, Jake Kennedy, Franklin Brown and Peyton Falkenburg cooking Bass BitesSecond Place – Morgan Stanley Meat Masters Crew including Jon Warr, Jim Warr, Zac Snider and Jordan Miller cooking Tuna; Third Place – Leavellwood including Trey Montgomery, Trey Dorman, Blake Foster and Ryan Costanzo cooking Bass Mignon.
 
Fowl Division: First Place – Leavellwood including Trey Montgomery, Trey Dorman, Blake Foster and Ryan Costanzo cooking Dove ShootersSecond Place – Red Hen including Dan Nelson and Matt Nelson cooking Gourmet Quail Poppers; Third Place – Bourbon Burners including Michael Ross, Lyle Bell, Charles Rigdon and Rick Harris cooking 4 Duck Casserole.
 
Game Division: First Place – Ground Meat including Cameron Choquette, Lee Casals, Reid Duvall and Tyler Baker cooking Whitetail Wonton; Second Place – TTL, Inc. including Ryan Costanzo, Bo Quinnie, Brian Wysock and Whitt Wilkerson cooking Bambi’s Banging Deer Bites; Third Place – Morgan Stanley Meat Masters including Jon Warr, Jim Warr, Zac Snider and Jordan Miller cooking Deer Roll-ups.
  
1st Place Presentation Award went to Leavellwood, while Game Changers took home Best Presentation Runner-Up.
