The Outdoor Classroom was developed to provide an opportunity for the students to interact with the environment and make use of an area that was previously unused due to drainage problems. This unique teaching tool was designed to incorporate the Alabama Course of Study for Scientific Literacy objectives. Our goals include providing hands-on experiences for learning environmental studies while utilizing multiple academic disciplines, creating wildlife habitats for student observation, and providing opportunities for school and community partnerships toward a common goal.
