Fish of Still Creek

Grab a net and prepare to get wet! During this program we will explore the ANC’s still creek looking for different types of fish! We will make use of fisheries biologist’s tools including nets and a electric backpack shocker (completely safe for fish and humans). We will take a look at and identify the types of fish that call Alabama and Lanark home, we will find everything from darters and madtoms to crayfish during this program! A pair of rubber boots is recommended but not required. 
Events begin at 10:00am.

Daily admission is $5/person with a $20 maximum per family. Check the reception desk or our website for information about Season Passes and Club Options. Season passes allow you to pay one time for a year’s worth of access at a tremendous discount. Our Walking, Photography, Fishing, Birding, and Naturalist Club options provide additional custom access.
