
![]() ANC On Tour![]() Transform your classroom into an environmental learning center by inviting “ANC on Tour” into your classroom. Our talented, professional staff will present the program of your choice at your school.
ANC on Tour programs are designed for small classes. Each conservation education session is 45 minutes long. Topics for sessions include wildlife biology, water ecology, natural history, geology, and forest ecology. Our instructors will do multiple programs. Maximum session size is 30 students.
Session Descriptions Yesterday’s Wildlife | Take a step back in time and discover what fascinating animals roamed the landscape years ago. Ancient Seas of Alabama | From prehistoric sharks’ teeth to primitive oyster shells, your students will be amazed at the underwater critters that used to inhabit the ancient seas. Waters of Life | Let your students learn about the importance of water conservation using hands-on classroom activities. A Pollution Solution | Discover the importance of keeping our land, water and air clean during this program designed to raise awareness with fun classroom activities. Go Wild! | Your students will get to experience wildlife firsthand by touching and feeling real skins and skulls from native Alabama animals. Get Your Bearings | Students will discover their direction during this orienteering crash course using maps and compasses. Forest Foundations | We’ll bring the forests to the classroom during this program as students learn about the importance of forestry practices and get a chance to identify native trees based on leaf shapes and fruits.
